Juliana Pedemonte | Bio
Born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, Juliana Pedemonte studied Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires. From 2003 she's developing her own style as an illustrator and animator for her own company Colorblok, working for clients such as MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon among others.
Her work usually depicts happy robots, mechanisms and other smiling characters. Her style has been applied to skate boards, vinyl dolls, notebooks and other accessories. In serigraph printing she found the best way to express her ideas taking advantage of the use of ink layering, color and composition. She has participated on several group exhibitions in Buenos Aires such as "Amigos de lo ajeno" at Turbo Gallery, "Fauna, Orgánica y Botánica" at El Diente de Oro and "Museo Salvaje" (curated by Fernando Brizuela) at CCEBA. She's constantly taking part of international group shows such as "Kokeshi" at Subtext Gallery, San Diego, USA; Wurstminster Dog Show at Wurst Gallery, Portland, USA; Les Grand Traversees in Bordeaux, France and recently at artSPACE Gallery in Berlín during "Pictoplasma Character walk" .
